Applications in EV Battery Conveying

Canline Systems specializes in innovative solutions for EV battery production. We focus on can stamping from coil to can, providing robust mass conveying systems that prevent dents and scratches. Our expertise extends to cleanroom assembly, where our certified magnetic conveyors ensure efficient single-lane and mass conveyance. Additionally, we offer specialized conveyors for cleaning in aggressive environments, designed to withstand harsh conditions and maintain the integrity of cases and lids during assembly.

Mass Conveying Experience

With extensive experience in handling mass volumes of rigid metal containers in demanding production processes, we manage production volumes of up to 4500 cans per minute and 12,000 ends per minute. We offer fully automated systems, including software development and hardware supply, ensuring optimal operational effectiveness. Our solutions feature CatchAI software and digital twin setups for advanced simulation and fast start-up. Collaborating with world-class brands for key components, we support the entire life cycle of your installation.

Can Stamping From Coil to Can including Palletization

We specialize in conveying systems and controls for manufacturing cylindrical battery cases, ranging from individual conveyors to fully integrated systems. Our expertise lies in the wet area, where mass conveying occurs between cuppers, presses, cleaners, and dryers. We ensure that cases are handled without dents or scratches by selecting the optimal magnetic force for elevating and lowering cases based on specific properties and required capacities. This minimizes motor power while ensuring proper case movement. Standard conveyor widths range from 600 to 1200mm, with speeds up to 25 m/min. Mass conveying is ideal for interfacing between production steps, allowing for buffering and reducing conveyor wear due to low speeds.

Mass Conveying Solutions

Our mass conveying offerings include:

  • Horizontal Mass Conveyance: For transportation and buffering between production steps.
  • Magnetic S-shaped Elevators: For elevation without inversion.
  • Magnetic C-shaped Elevators: For elevation with inversion.
  • BiDi Tables: Up to 3m wide bi-directional conveyors for accumulating up to 50,000 cans.
  • Mass Air Conveying: An optimal solution for dense pack creation, ensuring washers are fed optimally to prevent tipped cans and maximize washer capacity utilization.

Assembly in Clean Rooms

We offer expertise in the efficient magnetic transportation of individual cans in both single-lane and mass conveying applications. Canline has proven experience in the battery assembly area, meeting specific requirements and certified applications within cleanroom environments (Air Cleanliness Class 5). Our single-lane conveying systems ensure that cans or casings are properly fed into production machines using advanced magnetic and air technology.

Magnetic Conveying of Single Cans

Our single-lane conveying solutions include:

  • Elevators/Lowerators: With or without inversion of the casing, handling capacities up to 3000 cpm.
  • Chain Conveyors: Ideal for conveying steel cans with sharp edges, with proven capacities up to 800 cpm.
  • Curved Chain Conveyors: Facilitates curves in single-lane transport, with capacities up to 1500 cpm.
  • Magnetic Twist Conveyors: Rotates cans 90 or 180 degrees at the same height, with capacities up to 600 cpm.
  • Trackwork: Mechanical gravity trackwork for simple infeed to machines, allowing small buffering with standard capacities up to 600 cpm.

Cleaning in Aggressive Environments

We excel in cleaning applications within aggressive environments, offering solutions for both mass and single conveying. Utilizing specialized materials, our systems withstand harsh, corrosive conditions, ensuring the integrity of cans and lids during assembly. This prevents dents and scratches, which are crucial for the assembly process. By understanding the specific demands of these environments, we deliver reliable, high-quality performance essential for industries requiring robust and precise handling of delicate components.
